Have a great weekend!
Sorry, I was never able to post last week, I had a ton of baking and prepping to do for our first of two parties for Savanna's first birthday! We had a super busy Saturday this past weekend. In the afternoon we had her party. We decided to split up friends and family since we cannot fit everyone inside if the weather was not nice. We did our friends first so we could hopefully have it outside. Luckily the weather cooperated for us:) I will share the details of the party with you after I get pictures uploaded later this week. Before the party Chris took Savanna to the Rye vs. Harrison football game which is a long time rival. There were 5000 people at a high school football game! From what I heard Savanna loved the crowd and really enjoyed the action. I made this cake pop tower (sorry not a great picture) for the boys tailgate on Friday night.
While they were at the game I had my good friend Katie's baby shower at the Larchmont Yacht Club (where her and her husband got married). I did some cute favor boxes for which I want to share the details with you today.
I worked with her sister to make personalized boxes for Katie. We decided to make a trail mix of all of her favorite items; almonds, dried mango, raisins, yogurt covered pretzels, gummies and m&ms. She is having a boy so we did blue for the gummies and m&ms.
I then made a baby onesie carrot cake cookie (since carrot cake is her favorite). I also wanted to share the recipe for the cookie.
I had made a soft drop carrot cake cookie before but, I was afraid that wouldn't hold the icing and I would have a ton of waste from cutting the cookies out. I searched for a roll-out cookie but failed to find one, so I decided to modify one of my own recipes. My gingerbread cookies have a fairly wet dough which I thought I needed since the carrots would moisten the dough. So I substituted the molasses with the carrots and altered the spices and it worked :) The dough was super moist but it worked as long as you let the dough sit in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours (overnight is best) and used a decent amount of flour.
Carrot Cake Roll-out Cookies
3 cups flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cloves
6 ounces butter
6.5 ounces shredded carrots
Directions
1. In the bowl of an electric mixer mix dry ingredients
2. Add in butter in pieces
3.While machine is running add carrots
4. Refrigerate dough for at least 4 hours
5. Roll out on floured surface and floured pin to desired shape and size (will need a lot of flour)
6. Bake 10 - 15 minutes depending on size
I wanted to share some pretty amazing parties with you today. Seri and Michelle over at Little Miss Party Planner, have been quite busy this spring and they have been keeping me busy as well :) I have highlighted their dessert tables here, but you should definitely head to their website to check all the details out!
I love all their parties, but the first may be current favorite, A Preppy Little First Birthday Party. They didn't do the typical large first birthday cake, instead they made a beautiful and personalized dessert table with a lot of little yummy treats.

Next is a fun Poker themed party for an 8 year old boy. Cupcakes with playing card toppers, playing card, heart and spade fondant cookies and a cake just for the birthday boy.
Along the same theme is a Las Vegas Party for a 50th Birthday Party. I cannot take credit for this gorgeous cake! How amazing is it??? I did the Moustache Cake Pops, brownie oreo truffle mini cupcakes, playing card and chip cookies and cupcakes with the fun playing chip/photo toppers.
I am always in awe of their creative vase / centerpiece ideas.
Lastly is a Baby Shower for their very own Michelle who is due in a few weeks. I was honored to do the cake, some mini cupcakes and mini orange meringue sandwiches.
Hope everyone is having a great week! We celebrated our one year anniversary on Monday, I cannot believe it has been a year - time really does fly! I had saved the wedding cake topper I made for our cake pop tower and we had some on Monday night, it actually held up pretty good!
Now that fall is officially here, I wanted to share the remainder of the summer projects I have not shown you!

I hope everyone had as wonderful of a weekend as I did! The Grandma's to be and my sister threw me a truly amazing shower this past Sunday at Bottino, I could of not asked for anything better! The weather was perfect since they have a garden attached to their party room. I have also been to a bridal shower at Bottino and both times they did an incredible job. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a shower venue in NYC. I was so blessed to have so many of my friends and family there and I cannot thank everyone enough for their generosity.
I designed the cakes, but my trusty assistant made them for me (so the business is in good hands for when I have to take a short break :) ).
I loved the favors my sister did . She found this adorable favor idea on pinterest, "It's a Girl OPI nail polish", unfortunately I did not get a good picture of it.
Now, hopefully she will be born before Halloween (my due date is October 28th), since she has so many adorable outfits to wear for her first Halloween! She even has a costume, thanks to her cousin that was born 8 years ago in October :)
Hope everyone is enjoying this amazing fall weather!
I have been super behind in keeping you up to date with my projects so wanted to get you caught up! I have been doing a lot more custom cakes which has been a lot of fun! Hope you enjoy!

Over the past few months I have had the pleasure of doing some treats for Little Miss Party Planner (LMP). The owner Seri and her partner Michelle both had previous careers at JCrew like me! We actually did not know each other there but were introduced by a mutual colleague. Together they have started a fabulous little party planning company that specializes in small spaces (for all of us that live in Manhattan). So the next time you are having a birthday or a special event and you want someone to plan and caterer an amazing little party make sure to think of them! In the mean time I wanted to share some recent events that they did and I supplied some treats for.
Most recent was the Girls Night Out with Benefit Cosmetics that they did for 100 Layer Cake and I made cheesecake cake pops for it.
They put on an adorable yellow and grey Baby Shower for their friend Rachel and I made gold dusted cake pops and the poodle cookie pops favors.
In the spring I made cake pops and banana pops for their 40th birthday brunch party.
Have a great weekend :)
Almost all of my treats are personalized for each event and made to match the theme of the occasion that you are celebrating. Never hesitate to ask for something that I have never done before; I will always make a make a sample first and if you are close by you can come taste :)
Baby Shower K-Pops - It's a girl!
Can't make your friend's big birthday - Send them a box of treats!
Bridal Shower Pops to match the wedding colors that include the brides initial
Gettysburg Women's Lacrosse Team made it the National Championship and these k-pops gave them some fuel to play - THEY WON!
I made some Baby Block Cakes for a shower this past weekend. To match the cakes the favors were baby block k-pops tied them with feet ribbon that matched the invitation. The mom to be is having twin boys! Below is a picture of the mom to be with her cakes :)
I had the pleasure of working with Hanky Panky on some recent events. They just launched a maternity line and hosted a shower for one of their colleagues where I had the pleasure of making some baby themed treats for them.
They also just celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the Thong and I made special treats for the occasion! It was great working with them!
I love personalizing a K-Pops for events! The first picture was a favor for a baby shower, the colors match the baby's nursery :) I ordered the stickers from Beau Coup to coordinate with theme, but I also do custom stamped tags. Additionally, I have started to work with passion for details and they developed these adorable favor boxes for my K-pops. They are completely customized and can be used as a place seating as well!
The mother to be was keeping the gender of her baby a surprise so the colors of the shower were purple, blue and green. For the party I made some baby themed mini cupcakes and polka doted K-Pops for the favors. I hope they enjoyed!
