Hi!
I am back! It is bittersweet being home, no one ever wants a vacation to end (especially an amazing one), but its always nice returning to your own bed.... I am also excited to get back to the kitchen!
I wanted to share some of my photos from my honeymoon with you! Our trip started in Cape Town where we were super active. We went to Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela and other ANC prisoners were held) and a Johnny Clegg concert at Kirstenbosch Gardens. The Gardens were gorgeous and the perfect concert venue (think Central Park). We have never listened to any of his music before and really enjoyed it. We next spent a day touring several beautiful wineries in Stellenbosch + Franschoek. We fell in love with South African wine! We enjoyed several amazing Sauvignon Blancs, and some bold & tasty reds. On our last day, a daunting hike up Table Mountain was rewarded with breathtaking views of the city & harbor. We then took a scenic drive along the coast, visiting local beaches and a penguin colony- who knew, penguins on the beach?!
We next ventured out on safari and saw a ton of animals - such a fabulous experience! We finished our trip with some much needed beach time and relaxation! South Africa is an amazing place with friendly people eager to share their natural beauties and culture. We highly recomend! I'd love to help any couples considering a South African honeymoon so don't be shy if you're interested.
